I think an important aspect of theft has to be from a cultural perspective, from an organization’s culture, and making sure that people understand that theft is not something that’s just going to be ignored, that theft is not something that’s going to ultimately be tolerated. One of the things that you can do is eliminate people from thinking that they could even have an opportunity to steal a device. And whether that be internal practices, like setting up bios locks or having staff sign off on equipment when they’re getting it, when they get employed or signing off once they return it, maybe even letting people know that, Hey, we have remote software on these devices that ultimately, if this thing leaves our organization, we have the ability to basically turn it into a giant paperwork. And eliminating the people believing that they even have an opportunity to do something could be enough of a deterrent for people not even to be thinking that in the first place.
