We do not put customers in a box. If they have a certain process that they want us to utilize, and that process makes good data security sense or otherwise, we will institute it and work with the customer to make sure that’s the process that goes into effect.
We have customers with high security concerns but still want to see the value of data erasure and reuse of their assets.
They perform erasure at their site. We verify it in our building for their own reporting standards inside their organization. Then we perform secondary erasure. We quarantine those assets. We provide all the details to that customer for them to go through and verify the data, make sure that everything matches on their end, that they don’t see any issues with our audit. They then clear the devices for resale. This is not a typical arrangement. There’s some more overheads associated to it, but it is what the customer wanted. We made a program inside of our larger program that performs this service this way. It can be replicated for any customer may want it, but certainly we can design these custom solutions with our individual customer needs in mind.
