ITAMG Data Center Services

Data Center Decommissioning for 365 Data Centers Customers

Data center decommissioning for 365 Data Centers customers from ITAMG covers the removal, data treatment and disposition of customer-owned IT hardware. ITAMG helps enterprise teams retire servers, storage and network equipment at U.S. colocation sites, with packing, secure transport and serialized records defined in the project scope.

Plan equipment release, crew access and service disconnects as separate approvals. Your authorized 365 Data Centers contact confirms the operator’s requirements; ITAMG scopes the physical retirement work.

Approved equipment removal

Match the collection inventory to the hardware your organization can release.

Coordinated access and packing

Plan crew permissions, staging and loading around the approved removal.

Separate completion records

Track asset disposition and operator service closeout without treating one as proof of the other.

Customer Hardware

Scope Equipment Removal at 365 Data Centers

ITAMG scopes removal around the customer-owned servers, storage, networking and accessories approved for retirement from your 365 Data Centers deployment.

Identify the hardware by serial number and rack position where available. Mark equipment that remains in service, leased items and provider-owned infrastructure separately. A full space exit may include customer-owned cabinets and cable removal; retiring selected servers may leave those items in place.

Confirm who is authorized to verify shutdown, migration completion and retained connections before physical work. ITAMG can combine de-racking and packing with erasure or destruction, transport, resale and recycling. Assign any electrical isolation, facility restoration or work outside the customer space explicitly rather than assuming it follows from a hardware collection.

Operator Coordination

Coordinate 365 Property Removal, Access and Disconnects

365 Data Centers publishes separate procedures for customer access, property removal and service disconnects; an equipment retirement needs each applicable decision tracked.

The operator’s Policies & Procedures assigns access-list management to the customer’s primary contact and describes a Property Removal Form. Have that contact confirm the applicable form, notice and approval requirements under your agreement before reserving the collection. A visitor’s access permission does not establish authority to release an asset.

The same policy treats service disconnects separately. Keep the physical collection date, requested service end date and operator-confirmed billing end date in the project plan. ITAMG’s completion of equipment removal does not replace the operator’s acceptance of a disconnect request.

  1. Confirm the authorized contact

Identify who manages the Customer Access List and can submit the required operator requests.

  2. Reconcile the release inventory

Match the approved property-removal details to the systems, accessories and any customer-owned racks being collected.

  3. Arrange the movement route

Confirm the crew, loading appointment, staging area and packaging restrictions with the facility contact.

  4. Track service closeout

Record disconnect request ownership and operator confirmation separately from the collection record.

Data and Custody

Data Destruction and Custody for 365 Customer Assets

ITAMG’s data-treatment scope defines what happens to the storage media before or after equipment leaves your 365 Data Centers space.

Choose erasure or physical destruction for each relevant media group, then decide whether treatment must occur onsite or at ITAMG’s facility. Onsite work requires permission, suitable space and separate pricing in the project scope. Confirm the selected method before servers or storage systems are disassembled.

Preserve the relationship between drive serial numbers and their parent systems when media is removed. Agree on the custody handoff, processing destination and handling of failed erasure or inventory discrepancies. ITAMG provides serialized destruction and recycling certificates for the applicable services; identify the records required in the quote.

  1. Before collection

Approve the data-bearing asset list, treatment method and any equipment retained for reuse.

  2. At physical handoff

Reconcile the released inventory with the items collected and record exceptions.

  3. After processing

Match the contracted treatment and disposition records to the collected assets before closing the retirement file.

Cost and Completion

365 Customer Decommissioning Costs and Closeout

ITAMG prices the physical retirement work; operator and carrier closeout costs require their own account-level confirmation.

An equipment list, rack details, allowed work hours, collection route and data-treatment choice let ITAMG scope labor, packing, transport and processing. Identify operator-ordered assistance so the same task is not priced into two service orders. Agree how extra equipment or changed access conditions will affect the quote.

Recoverable equipment value depends on the models, configuration, condition and agreed resale terms. Ask ITAMG to separate the service scope from any recovery credit and explain deductions. A credit is a project-specific commercial term, not a guaranteed payment for every retirement.

ITAMG supports removal with trained, insured and background-checked technicians; its logistics capabilities include GPS-tracked, insured vehicles. Confirm the arrangements for your project and retain separate evidence for physical collection, media treatment, disposition and operator service termination.

Data Center Directory

365 Data Centers Facilities and Directory

The ITAMG 365 Data Centers directory helps identify the facility context for a customer equipment-retirement project.

365 Data Centers offers colocation across multiple U.S. markets, with facility and network services presented separately in its colocation overview. Use the 365 Data Centers directory to identify a listing, then confirm the current operator, building and licensed customer space against your own account records.

For a project spanning other operators or markets, use the main data center directory and decommissioning locations hub. Directory inclusion does not grant site access or establish an ITAMG affiliation with the operator.

Service Questions

365 Data Centers Customer Decommissioning Questions

Does removing equipment terminate my 365 Data Centers service?

Equipment collection does not itself confirm service termination. Your authorized contact should obtain the operator’s acceptance of the relevant disconnect or cancellation request and confirm any billing end date under the applicable agreement. Keep that record separate from ITAMG’s collection and disposition documentation.

Can ITAMG retire only part of a 365 customer deployment?

ITAMG can scope a selected-equipment retirement as well as a broader space exit. Identify the approved servers, storage, switches and accessories, plus the equipment and connections that must remain. The removal list should make those retained items clear to the crew.

Can I schedule collection before property release is confirmed?

Use a target date for planning, then confirm the operator’s release and access requirements before committing to collection. ITAMG needs the permitted work window, loading arrangements and authorized equipment list to coordinate the physical removal. A target date is not an operator approval.
