Data Destruction Compliance:
ITAMG is a member of the National Association of Information Destruction and manages data destruction projects of all scopes. All data destruction methods are performed in accordance with US DoD 5220.22-M, HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA), Gramm-Leach- Bliley Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act of 2002, Identity Theft and Assumption Deterrence Act, US Safe Harbor Provisions, FDA Security Regulations (21 C.F.R. part 11), the PCI Data Security Standard, and the EPA.At minimum all drives are overwritten with multi-pass software. If it is vital that the drive be rendered useless a degaussing procedure is utilized. Hard Drive Shredding is performed either at ITAMG's Headquarters, or on-site at the client's facilities, via ITAMG's AMS Mobile Hard Drive Shredding unit. Our mobile shredding solution eliminates the risk of a data breach by completely eliminating the Chain of Custody between the organization and the physical point-of-destruction.
ITAMG will never capture, recapture, or market data on the hard drives, tapes, CDs, PDAs, mobile devices, thumb drives, or medical films received. All processes may be witnessed by a designated client representative to ensure all organizational security protocols are met.
